Office Policies

At Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine, the health and safety of our patients and staff is our top priority.  We will be utilizing this portion of our web page to keep everyone informed of our most up-to-date office policies. We appreciate your understanding in advance as we strive to give the highest quality of care to our patients at this time.  Please contact our office with any questions.

  • In accordance with CDC guidelines and the increasing percentage of our patients and staff who have been inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine, effective April 1st, 2021, we will be allowing spouses/partners to accompany the patients during ultrasound/consult.

  • Only one person can accompany the patient in the suite before, during, or after their appointment.  We will continue to enforce our mask policy whereas all employees and the patients (and now spouses/partners) MUST continue to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth entirely or they will not allowed to enter the clinic.  Failure for the patient or accompanying spouse/partner to abide by the mask policy will result in the patient being asked to reschedule their appointment.

  • We will not allow any children under the age of 18 until further notice, only the patient’s spouse/partner.

  • All patients and staff will have their body temperature taken and documented prior to entering the office.
  • All patients and staff are required to wear a mask or face covering. You may be asked to reschedule your appointment if you cannot cover your nose and mouth completely throughout your visit.
  • We do not allow the use of cell phones, videos, etc. during ultrasound examinations as this can affect the accuracy of your test.
  • We are limiting the number of patients in our waiting areas at this time to ensure social distancing. Please call our main office number, 615-284-8636, to reach our front desk staff when you arrive at the office or when you are ready for your appointment. You will be checked-in at this time. Our staff will call you when we are ready to see you for your appointment.
  • If you are exhibiting signs/symptoms of a viral illness (fever, tiredness, dry cough, aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, diarrhea) or have been in contact with someone who may have signs/symptoms, please stay home and call our office for further instruction.

Please continue to regularly check here for any updates on our current office policies.  We again thank you for your understanding during this time.
