Nancy Tucker grew up in Macon, Georgia and attended The University of Georgia.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health. She moved to Nashville where she joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a Labor and Delivery Nurse.  She continued her education by attending graduate school at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and obtained a Master’s degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.  During her time as a student, her interest in high-risk obstetrics grew after completing a clinical rotation under the supervision of the providers at Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine. She graduated with high honors and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Honors Society.

Nancy is currently a Registered Nurse and a certified registered women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of Tennessee. She is AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses) advanced fetal monitoring certified and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.  She is an active member of the provider team and has a role in patient care and research projects at TNMFM. She has an interest in the role of long-term cardiovascular disease management in pregnant women and genetics
